The outside is a little high on this hoof. Therefore I will take a little more off the outside. If the outside is left high on a back foot, this could cause the horse to cross fire.
  
When you set your shoe it should always be in the center of the bone.
Checking natural angle. By changing the angle we can speed or slow down the leg, and change flight patterns.
You should always work with a farrier that understands gaited horses. The degree on a hoofs angle should never be changed more than 3 degree at a time.
